Fotografia della libertà e delle dittature. Da Sander a Cartier-Bresson 1922 – 1946

Häftad bok. Gabriele Mazzotta, Milano . 1 uppl. 1995. 508 sidor.

Mycket gott skick. This is a paperback photo catalogue accompanying the well-known photography exhibition Fotografia della libertà e delle dittature. Da Sander a Cartier-Bresson 1922–1946 (Photography of Freedom and Dictatorships. From Sander to Cartier-Bresson 1922–1946)
The project was organized in 1995 by curator Giuliana Scimé at the Fondazione Antonio Mazzotta in Milan, exhibiting photos by the German photographer August Sander (1876–1964), world-famous for his documentary portraits of the German people and by the French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908–2004), a pioneer of photojournalism and the master behind "the decisive moment".
The historical span (1922–1946) highlights the role of photography between freedom and dictatorship in Europe, stretching from the rise of fascism in Italy to the immediate aftermath of World War II.
Item weight 2.04 kg. 22x24x3 cm. Excellent condition but has a 15-word long personal greeting in Swedish on the cover sheet. All introductory and commenting text in Italian.
