The porter's chair. First edition. Hand-coloured etching and aquatint from Thomas Rowlandson’s The English Dance of Death, originally issued in 24 monthly parts, 1814–1816. Rowlandson (1757–1827) was a renowned English artist and caricaturist of the Georgian era.
